CREATIVE ACTIVITY - NURSERY 2, TERM 2
Week 1 & 2
Topic: Make Leaf Album
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Objectives:
Pupils will be able to collect leaves of different shapes and sizes.
Pupils will use the leaves to create a personalized leaf album.
Materials:
Leaves (collected or provided), paper, glue, colored markers.
Activities:
The teacher will guide the pupils to collect various leaves from around the classroom or school environment.
Pupils will then arrange and glue the leaves into an album, adding labels and decorations.
Evaluation:
Pupils will be assessed based on their creativity in selecting and arranging the leaves in the album.
Evaluation of neatness and the use of labels for different leaves.
Week 3 & 4
Topic: Make Bird Album
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Objectives:
Pupils will create an album featuring birds and learn to identify different types of birds.
Materials:
Pictures of birds, paper, glue, colored pencils/markers.
Activities:
The teacher will show various pictures of birds.
Pupils will select their favorite birds and glue the pictures onto an album, decorating with labels and additional drawings.
Evaluation:
Assessment will focus on the pupils' ability to choose birds, create a well-organized album, and label correctly.
Creativity in additional artwork will be considered.
Week 5 & 6
Topic: Make Insect Album
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Objectives:
Pupils will create an album based on different types of insects.
Materials:
Pictures or drawings of insects, paper, crayons/colored pencils, glue.
Activities:
Pupils will research or review different insects and choose to create an album with insect pictures.
They will cut out, glue, and label the insects, and add some personal drawings.
Evaluation:
Pupils will be evaluated on their ability to complete the insect album creatively, with correct labeling and organization.
Week 7 & 8
Topic: Make Pattern with Shapes
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Objectives:
Pupils will use basic shapes to create a pattern.
Materials:
Assorted paper shapes (squares, triangles, circles, etc.), glue, colored pencils.
Activities:
Teacher will demonstrate how to arrange shapes to create a pattern (e.g., circle-square-circle-square).
Pupils will create their own patterns using paper shapes and colors.
Evaluation:
Evaluation will be based on the pupil’s ability to follow and create distinct patterns using shapes.
Neatness of the final artwork and creativity will be assessed.
Week 9 & 10
Topic: Make Prints with Leaves
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Objectives:
Pupils will create prints using leaves as stamps.
Materials:
Leaves, paint, paper, brushes.
Activities:
Teacher will demonstrate how to dip leaves in paint and stamp them onto paper to create leaf prints.
Pupils will create their own prints by choosing leaves, applying paint, and stamping on their paper.
Evaluation:
Pupils will be evaluated based on how well they apply paint and create distinct prints.
Creativity in design and use of different leaves will also be considered.
Week 11
Topic: Revision, Examination, and Closing
Lesson: All topics covered during Term 2 will be reviewed.
Activities:
A revision of all the creative activities done during the term will be conducted.
Pupils will showcase their leaf, bird, insect albums, and prints.
A final assessment will be conducted through observation and evaluation of the pupils' work.
Additional Materials for Creative Activities:
Finger soft dough of different colors
Assorted paper shapes (corrugated paper, plain paper)
Air-drying clay
Bubber (variety of colors)
