Week 1 & 2

Topic: Review Letters A – P. Sound, Write, and Dictate

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to sound, write, and build up the alphabet, even when the letters are jumbled up.

Lesson: 8 Lessons

Materials: All materials used in the previous term.

Activities: Repeat activities from the previous term’s revision week to reinforce letter recognition and writing skills.

Evaluation: Evaluate as in the revision week to assess the pupils' understanding and retention of the alphabet A to P.

Week 3 & 4

Topic: Introduce Q, R, S – Trace, Sound, and Write

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to link all letters in proper order, take down letters during dictation, match, and fill in letters.

Lesson: 8 Lessons

Materials: Sandpaper letters A – S

Activities: The teacher will lead pupils through routine activities for sounding, tracing, and writing letters to enhance their recognition and identification of the letters Q, R, and S.

Evaluation: Pupils will sort out a pack of mixed letters and arrange them in alphabetical order, demonstrating their ability to recognize and sequence letters correctly.

Week 5 & 6

Topic: Introduce T, U, V, W

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to link all the letters in alphabetical order and complete relevant activities to reinforce letter recognition.

Lesson: 8 Lessons

Materials: As in Week 3 & 4, plus letters T, U, V, and W.

Activities: Continue with activities from Weeks 3 & 4 to ensure pupils can confidently trace, write, and identify the letters T, U, V, and W.

Evaluation: Pupils will sort out a pack of mixed letters and arrange them in alphabetical order, ensuring their understanding of the letter sequence.
